What I am building

01 — Concept
What I am building fig. 01

Roraa is a small Norwegian knitwear venture under construction. I am building a label that produces modern, lasting garments in small industrial runs — knit in Norway, in natural fibres, with a construction meant to outlive seasons. The scale is deliberately small. Fewer collections, longer life per piece, a closer relationship between what is made and who it is made for.

AI is the operational engine behind the practical work. I use it for research, supplier and machine comparison, drafting business plans, modelling cost scenarios, and structuring production flow. It allows one person to do work that traditionally required a team — without losing the hand, the eye, or the taste.

I am in the concept phase. The product does not exist yet. I am talking to suppliers, testing ideas, and laying the foundation piece by piece. This page is not a launch. It is a window into a process in motion, and an extension of a conversation already underway.

↗ LinkedIn — Olga Lien

My name is Olga Lien. I have long experience from a large, complex industry, and I sit on several boards. The details are on LinkedIn.

Roraa is something else — smaller, quieter, more my own. I like things made to last, and I don’t let go until something is properly finished.

Small scale is a deliberate choice — it means every decision is mine. If you’ve read all the way here, we probably already know each other a little. Say hi.

How AI actually fits in

03 — AI in the work

Concrete uses, no headlines. Every conclusion is read and decided manually.

01

Research & market

Mapping competitors, suppliers, and machinery across the knitwear industry. What used to take weeks now takes days — but every conclusion is read and decided manually.

02

Design & concept

Iterating silhouettes, materials, and palettes. AI generates options; I curate. The decisions remain mine.

03

Business & finance

Modelling costs, margin scenarios, and pricing. AI makes the numbers transparent enough to trust them myself.

04

Operations

Production flow, supplier conversations, logistics. AI helps me hold many threads at once without losing the thread.
